i-Ready at Home

What is i-Ready?
i-Ready is what teachers use for formal assessment each trimester. Based on how students score on the assessment, the program provides a series of lessons to support students in the areas they need more instruction. i-Ready provides individualized instruction for students in both Math & Reading. To learn more about i-Ready visit the Family Center from the program creators: https://i-readycentral.com/familycenter/
Login From Home Instructions
The following are the login instructions written by a teacher at HLES. Our district has also created login instructions with pictures as well:

i-Ready only works on computers or iPads (not iPad minis, no other tablets, and not on smartphones). You can visit this link to make sure the device and browser you are currently using supports i-Ready: https://staging-cdn.i-ready.com/systemcheck/
- First, you go to the internet browser (Google Chrome, Safari, etc.) and have your child log into their ClassLink account that has all your child’s programs in one place and signs them onto them easily.
- ClassLink: https://launchpad.classlink.com/srcschools
- Then, sign into ClassLink by scanning the QR code or with the root of their email (example: jerrya_2341 from jerrya_2341@srcschools.org) & password.
- Upper grade students (3rd-6th) most likely have their information memorized by now. If not, contact your child’s teacher.
- Lower grade students (TK-2nd) most likely do NOT have their information memorized. Most lower grade teachers have printed QR codes to help students log into their computers. Ask their teacher for the QR code.
- To use the QR code option you need to make sure your device has a camera that can scan the QR code and your Settings on the device allow the camera to work.
- Once your child is logged into ClassLink they click on the i-Ready icon, and they will be logged in automatically.
- On an iPad they will need to download the free app as well.
- Your child should only do 20-25 minutes of i-Ready each session. They should be working on the computer independently in their lessons without support. Teachers receive a report and if they are struggling on something and their teacher will deliver them targeted lessons at school.
- i-Ready also offers incentives like playing games or changing their avatars/backgrounds. *Make sure your child is also completing lessons for Math and Reading and not only playing.
*Parenting Tip* Just because your child is using their computer doesn’t mean they are focused on i-Ready. They could be distracted by watching videos on YouTube or something else. Supervise their i-Ready time by watching their screens. If you cannot watch their screen, require them to keep their sound on so you can hear to make sure they are on task.
